Speaker Bio:
Dr. Nelson Pedreiro is the Vice President of the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) at Lockheed Martin Space. In this role, he is responsible for leading a world-class team of scientists and engineers in advancing science and technology.
Dr. Pedreiro is a member of National Academy of Engineering and of the National Academies Space Studies Board. He is an AIAA Fellow, a Senior Member of the IEEE, and Chair of the COSPAR Committee on Industry Relations. Dr. Pedreiro has a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from the Instituto Technológico de Aeronautical (ITA) in Brazil.
